A woman stands next to me,
contemplating the sprinkles and frosting
in the baking aisle at the grocery store.
Her basket holds marshmallows and cereal,
her phone balances on her shoulder:
"Let me call you back. I have an interview
in five minutes." She only hesitates a moment before
adding a bag of chocolate chips to her resume.
