Who? The girl from
this winter? She comes
blowing in and out,
as she’s wont to do.
I’ve seen her when
there’s a chill in the air,
or when it gets dark
before she expects it to.
I see her. Don’t you? This week the gargleblaster asks, "Do you see her much?"
Spooky and surreal. I am going to close the doors tight this winter ;)

Haha, anything to keep her out!
DeleteI like the riddle aspect of your response. Nice job. I am ready for her to leave!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, aren't we all? Gah. Soon enough.
DeleteI like how you ended this with a question. Thankfully, winter has been mild for us, so I haven't seen (much) of her!
ReplyDeleteLucky!
DeleteHow creative! I love the fact that you ended it with a question, too.
ReplyDelete"gets dark before she expects it to"

DeleteNice - there's definitely a fantastical feel to this. The girl you describe feels like a creature out of northern mythology. Very cool. (Ha! No pun intended.) Thanks for linking up your gargleblaster!
ReplyDeleteOh, she's super cool. ;) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteOh well in most parts of India,we would love to see more of her and for a longer time ;-)Loved this light -hearted yet dreamlike piece:-)
